Akhil Agrawal has taken over as the general manager of the Central Railway. He was earlier an additional member (signal) in the railway board. After graduating in electronics and communication engineering from IIT Roorkee, Agrawal did his post graduation from IIT Kanpur. He joined the Indian Railways as an Indian Railway Service of Signal Engineers officer in 1981 and has held various important posts.
