Tadoba Express to Run From Today

Aurangabad: Tadoba Express, a weekly train between Mumbai and Kazipet in Telangana passing through a few Marathwada cities, including Aurangabad, will be pressed into service for commuters on Monday.

Railway minister Suresh Prabhu will flag off the train (number 11083/11084) through video-conference from Secunderabad, an official release said.

The train will depart Lokmanya Tilak Terminus (LLT), Mumbai at 11.30am every Friday from August 12 and reach Kazipet at 3pm the following day.

In its return journey, Tadoba Express will leave Kazipet station at 5.45pm on every Saturday (beginning August 13) and reach at LTT at 11.15 PM on Sunday.

Thane, Kalyan, Nashik, Manmad, Nagarsol, Lasur, Aurnagabad, Jalna, Parbhani, Purna, Nanded, Mudkhed, Bhokar, Himayat Nagar and Kinwat are among Maharashtra cities that will be on the route of Tadoba Express.

The inaugural special train will be flagged off through video-conferencing by Prabhu from Secunderabad at 8am. The train, in its maiden run, will reach its destination at 12.25pm on Tuesday. The bookings for the inaugural special train (number 01183) are open on special charges. Bookings for the regular service will start from Monday at all passenger reservation centres and through the internet.

The train will have an AC-2 Tier, two AC-3 Tier, eight sleeper class, four general second class and two general second class coaches.
